Terms of Service
The agreement for using BumbleTap and this website — free software, provided as-is, used at your discretion.
Last updated · June 18, 2026
Plain-language summary: BumbleTap is free software provided "as is." You're free to use it; you're responsible for how you use it (especially custom JavaScript). We're not liable for damages, and we may update the product and these terms over time. Full details below.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at bumbletap.com (the "Site") and the BumbleTap browser extension (the "Extension"), together the "Service." By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing the Extension or using the Site, you confirm that you can form a binding contract and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you're authorized to accept these Terms for it.
2. The service
BumbleTap is a free browser extension that lets you bind keyboard shortcuts to actions on any website, build multi-step automations, and run custom JavaScript you write yourself. The Site provides marketing information, documentation, and a blog. The Service is provided free of charge and without ads inside the Extension.
3. License and acceptable use
We grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. In return, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, or violate the terms of the websites you use it on.
- Use the Service to access, scrape, or disrupt systems you are not authorized to use.
- Resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the Service as your own.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
4. Custom code is your responsibility
Important: BumbleTap can run custom JavaScript that you write, on websites you choose. That code executes with the same access as the page it runs on. You are solely responsible for the code you create and run, and for any consequences of running it. Only use this feature if you understand what your code does.
The Service is a tool, similar to your browser's developer tools. What you automate, click, or execute with it — and whether that complies with a given website's own terms — is your responsibility.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its name, logo, design, code, and content (excluding code you write and content you create), is owned by BumbleTap and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't grant you any right to our trademarks, logos, or branding. Your shortcuts, automations, and custom code remain yours.
6. Third-party services and links
The Service operates on top of third-party websites and may link to third-party sites and the Chrome Web Store. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party services, their content, or their terms. Your use of them is governed by their own agreements.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will work with every website, which can change at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BumbleTap and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed USD $50 or the amount you paid us for the Service (which is zero), whichever is greater.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BumbleTap and its operator from any claims or demands arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and uninstall the Extension at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
11. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of BumbleTap is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute that isn't subject to informal resolution.
